Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that is nutrient-rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, and antioxidants. Joe Embres, owner of Kyanos Farms, in Vero Beach, is passionate about providing fresh, live, locally-grown spirulina to locals.

“Our spirulina is grown in pristine water from a 600-foot-deep artesian well, bathed in South Florida sunshine,” shares Embres. “Our small family farm's hands-on, gentle harvesting techniques yield a product far superior to mass-produced, dehydrated alternatives. Our propriety manual harvesting technique makes this spirulina truly special.” This particular spirulina is harvested weekly and only available locally in limited quantities.

Kyanos Farms Spirulina is available fresh in one-pound glass jars or fresh-frozen in convenient single-serving packets. Customers can pick up their orders at the farm by appointment on Fridays or have them delivered to their doorstep.
