Phoebe Barouk, APRN-CNM, IBCLC, founded Mariyam Midwifery inspired by the belief that every birth is unique and deserves a team of dedicated, loving professionals who provide compassionate, evidence-based care. Our team is here to walk alongside you—offering the guidance, reassurance, and expertise you need to feel confident, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

Phoebe Barouk is an Advanced Practice RN, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. With over a decade of experience as a nurse, she brings a deep understanding of maternal and infant health, offering expert guidance in breastfeeding, lactation, and holistic perinatal care.

Phoebe’s mission is to empower parents with the knowledge and confidence to navigate childbirth and breastfeeding with ease. With two Bachelor’s of Science degrees from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, her approach blends science-informed education, compassionate care, and practical strategies to help new and experienced parents alike. Offering full scope women’s health services through private consultations, virtual classes, or community support, Phoebe is dedicated to ensuring every woman and her family feels informed, nurtured, and empowered.

When she’s not working with families, Phoebe continues to expand her expertise in maternal wellness, advocating for informed choices and personalized care.
